Sculpture Studio Monitor - York University
September - April 1995/97
For my last two years at
York, I worked as a student monitor in the sculpture studio.
My duties included general maintenance of the facility, repair
and maintenance of the tools and equipment, instruction in safe
handling and proper care of tools and general safety of all people
in the studio.
Mural Project - York University Ice Gardens
July - September 1995
At the end of my third year,
the visual arts department held a juried competition for site
works around the school, there were 5 locations and the top twenty
submissions were asked to participate in a mural project for the
new ice gardens construction. I was one of the twenty on the
project, we worked in teams designing. Building and installing
the art work for the ice gardens.
Drawing Area Monitor - York University
September - April 1993/95
For my first two years at
York, I worked as a student monitor in the drawing studio. My
duties included general maintenance of the facility, repair and
maintenance of the tools and equipment, and construction of equipment
to help better use the area.
Director of Arts and Crafts - YMCA Camp Pine Crest
Summer 1994
For a summer I worked as
a arts and crafts director in a residential summer camp for boys
and girls aged 7-14. Project included paper machee, clay modeling,
candle making, drawing, and wildlife sketching among others.
Hinton Animation Studios - Ottawa, Ontario
1989-1991
Initially I was hired on
as an opaquer, I was responsible for the colorization of the characters
of the show The Raccoons. Later I moved into animation
checking and then to production assistant. As production assistant,
I worked on The Old woman
Who Raised A Polar Bear As Her Son,
and The Nutcracker Prince.
Visual Arts End of Year Group Show - York Center of Fine Arts
April 1997
At the end of fourth year,
the Visual Arts Department puts together a showing of students'
work. This is organized by students from all of the disciplines
and I was selected, along with three others to represent the
sculpture studio in the set-up of this show.

During my fourth year at
York, Lisa Bizeau and I put together a show of our current works.
The work was evenly divided and I contributed six works - a series
of four steel figures (Elation), a charcoal drawing and a stone
piece (Torso)

are invited by their instructors to display their work at this

Site Specific Work - York University
October 1995
One of our third year projects
is to develop a site work and go through the step of getting permission
for installation.
Faculty Lounge Exhibition - York University
Summer 1995
During the summer of my second
year at York University, I was invited by Michael Davies to put
my stone carving project into a group show he was putting together.

Canoe Instructor Certification
Mandatory training for Scout Leaders to be able to take their Troop out on open water.
Customer Service Representative - Ford Motor Company
October 1997 - January 1998
This was a temporary contract
position through Kelly services. My main responsibilities were
to work with dealerships and Engineers to help resolve customer
concerns, to document these concerns and to help produce a report
of common concerns with the ford Windstar.
Electrical Technician - Canada's Wonderland
Summer 1997
I worked the summer maintaining
the lighting throughout the park. My duties also included helping
with minor electrical repairs and assisting Electricians with
larger jobs in the park.
Sales Person - Tent City
Summer 1996
I worked at tent city as
a stock clerk and helped out with sales when needed.
Cashier/ Stock Clerk - Hasty Market
1991-1993
I worked part time at Hasty
Market for two and a half years while finishing my oac credits
for admission to University.
Troop Leader - 1st Concord Scouts
For the past three years
I have been the troop leader for the 1st Concord Troop,
Before that I was with the 94th Bendale, 7th
Whitby, and 6th Nepean.
Karate student - Port Credit School of Martial Arts
I recently returned to Karate
after a six year absence, starting at White belt again, and just
obtained my yellow belt.
Creative Arts Student Association - York University
1996-97 year
In my last year at York I
held the position of Visual Arts Liaison. My duties in this role
included representing the Visual Art Students' interests in Planning
activities and grant Proposal Reviews.
